And tomorrows new release for me is ... The Falling Into You Combo Pack and your FREE Gift with Purchase, the Swirl-It-Up Element Pack:

So, I went to the hairdresser yesterday - 3 hrs (takes that long to weave highlights into all of that hair of mine) of just sitting around and doing NOTHING ... wow! And I did the deed ... had quite a bit of my now rather long hair cut off and donated it to "locks for love". I feel about 10 lbs lighter lol Seriously with my thick, full hair, all those inches make quite a difference. My hair is still long enough to be put back in a ponytail or updo, but it's in this annoying inbetween stage now, where it's not really long and not quite short enough, so I think I need to do the "pulled back" into a clip or a ponytail thing for a while until I either make the plunge into a really short hair cut or let it grow a little longer! It is nice though to be able to find clips again that accommodate my hair :)
Stay tuned for tomorrows releases - yes, it's the first of the month, which means lots of releases at the guild!!
I might give you a sneak peak of my featured product for the month of October tonight!
Oh and be sure to check out this blog on Oct 3rd ... there'll be something special going on! :)

Journaling reads:
Every Mon - Fri, at around 4:30, you run
to the TV, tap on the glass and ask for
"Jeppy". As soon as Jeopardy comes on,
you'll sit on the floor or lay on a chair and
watch the entire thing intently, never wavering
with your attention. I don't know what could
possibly be interesting to a not even two year old
on that program, but I'm sure you know why
you love it so!

On the photo it reads: Hang on! I know that one .... What is ... what is ...

Hurrah!!
I think we are officially OFF the binkie! We've now had 3 naps and 2 nights with no scream fest and no waking to call for mommy or the binkie! *doing the happy dance*
I can NOT believe the boy adjusted so quickly! I think not changing his routine and giving him the quack quack duck instead of the binkie duck had a lot to do with it, since he still gets something "special" at bed time.
But one way or another - Hurrah for a binkie free Max :D:D:D:

Journaling reads:
You both just adore music of any kind. We have all sorts of toddler safe instruments for you already, but of course the real fascination is with the REAL musical instrument in the house - Daddy's guitar!
You love to listen to Daddy play and sing and you love it even more when Daddy lets you pluck the guitar a bit yourself! From very early on, you've been quite gentle with the guitar and we hardly ever need to remind you to be careful! Keep on loving music - it will be an important part all of your lives!

Max still hasn't quite managed the art of the "pucker", so I was trying to show him by totally exaggerating, only to get one of his sweet "pucker-free" kisses anyway :)

Phew! Well, it's been a busy few days. The twins had shots on Wed and that always means a restless/sleepless night for me. We got away with only mild temps and the usual post shot crankiness though.

Then we're weaning the boy off the binky right now and that's not fun! He's been off it during the day for a year now, but at night and for naps it's still THE comfort for him. But it's time. He has already been "blessed" with quite a narrow and pointy jaw, we really don't need any binkie deformations on top of that. So we went cold turkey. Binkie duck no more! BUT, I did get him a cute little yellow duck that says "quack quack quack" when you press it's tummy in the hopes that it will a) distract him enough for the first few minutes of going to bed (before the inevitable screaming begins) and b) might just become this new special thing he gets at bed time.
He is quite into his duck, even though he does rather miss his "ginkie" too. The first few minutes of bed time are quite heart wrenching at the moment, but last night he didn't wake up calling for his "ginkie", so we may be on the right path. I do however hear frantic quacking in the early morning hours - I guess Max is giving the binkie substitute quite the workout!

Oh and yesterday the Rain and Shine Mini Kit was featured on the Scrap Praise blog, and today Max's tantrum LO was featured on the Hot Digi Picks Blog. Yay!

New Release this week: The Rain or Shine Mini Kit

Your Free Gift With purchase until Oct 1st, 2007:

And a LO made with the kit:

Ahhh yes, the terrible twos :D - times two ... but both in quite different ways!
Journaling:
This is very much part of our daily lives right now. Patience is not your strong paint at all, so quite often you get VERY frustrated when things don't happen right the second you want them to. You have always had your little world come to an end over the slightest thing, but now we have the added bonus of a willful temper and the "terrible twos"! It makes for a lot of screaming, kicking and tearful tempers and you won't be distracted either. You want to be quite sure that all your effort has maximum effect and your not at all happy when we duly ignore the red faced screaming bundle of outrage that's writhing on the floor! I hope that with time we can learn a few better ways of dealing with frustration and scenes like this will be more and more a thing of the past! I love you very much!

Oh, it sure is sentimental month at the Guild!!

The journaling are excerpts from the song "I won't be the one to let go", sung by Barbara Streisand and Barry Gibb.

The large blended photos is one of those shots that I WISHED had turned out at all, but it has barely any definition in the original. The flash failed and it's mainly black with a couple of sparkling preemie eyes showing through. Even a ton of filters and actions couldn't rescue this one, but when I started to blend it, it worked just enough! I'm happy I could rescue this shot at least to this extent!

This is one of those reflective LOs ... scrapping therapy in a way. 1998 was one of my darkest years. All the stuff that happened then is probably a whole album worth of cathartic LOs but one of the most painful events was also a miscarriage. This is a LO to show the change from the dark times into the light, my journey as a mother in a way - and to commemorate ALL my children :)

They journaling are the lyrics of the Celine Dion song "A new Day has come" (slightly modified):

A new day has...come

I was waiting for so long
For a miracle to come
Everyone told me to be strong
Hold on and don't shed a tear

Through the darkness and good times
I knew I'd make it through
And the world thought I had it all
But I was waiting for you

Hush, now

I see a light in the sky
Oh, it's almost blinding me
I can't believe
I've been touched by angels with love
Let the rain come down and wash away my tears
Let it fill my soul and drown my fears
Let it shatter the walls for a new, new sun
A new day has...come

Where it was dark now there's light
Where there was pain now there's joy
Where there was weakness, I found my strength
All in the eyes of a my children
